POWER OF THE PURSE

On the evening of May 21, 2008 at the Rachael D. Murrah Civic Center, the women in attendance will hear about the success of women's philanthropy and the work being done presently for women and children through 100 Women Strong. The event will include a cocktail reception and an silent
auction of purses and purse art created by local artists, where proceeds will benefit the Women's Endowment Fund at the Community Foundation of Central Florida.

At last year's Power of the Purse, we launched 100 Women Strong with a goal of recruiting 100 women to give $1,000 each to create a Giving Circle that would provide over $100,000 to the community. We achieved that goal and at our event we will announce our second  recipients of that $100,000 and recruit additional members for 100 Women Strong!

Sponsorship opportunities are available from the $2,000 to $10,000 levels.  Sponsors will be given recognition and signage at the event.
